Monday - to Hermanus to see whales.  Unless you are very lucky, whale watching is not unlike log watching.  It's often difficult to tell which are whales and which are logs or rocks.... except for the one in the parking lot.

Our friend Nicole tipped us off to the garden open house , which included private gardens, nurseries, and wine farms being held in the Elgin Valley. In all we saw eight gardens on Saturday and Sunday  including Belfield Wine Estate with a majestic view of the Groenberg and some very tasty red wine.
