Our neighbours Michel and Nicole have created a boule-o-drome   next to their garden and last night held the first annual ( we hope) Carlux boules-fest.

 Herewith, therefore, the many and varied positions of boulistes.

The five-year old grandson proved to be the best player of the evening with a great eye and the ability to throw with either arm!

Jean-Louis is a power player and his wife, Denise,at the far end of the pitch, is being warned to get out of the way for fear of having her leg broken.

Carlux's canoe and kayak club held open house today, with, of course, good things to eat and drink.  We spent a pleasant few hours by the river with some friends.
