In keeping with the blue/yellow theme, I've planted pale blue clematis with the yellow rose "Golden showers". There won't be much to see of them before next May but in the meantime the Santolina and the Perovskia "Blue Spire" are flowering together. The santolina won't last very long but the perovskia will flower well into the fall.
We joined the thousands who trekked out to Giverny to see Monet's house and gardens. It was a very overcast day, but without rain, so the colours were quite saturated.
Tuesday at Les Jardins de Bagatelle, Paris. The roses must be at their peak because the gardens will be closed to the public on Thursday for a judging of new roses. Aren't we lucky! Clematis among the roses... almost like my garden....
